We donate Nex Playground systems to nonprofit organizations serving children who face barriers to movement. We’ve seen Nex Playground turn hospital rooms into spaces filled with laughter, movement, and connection. That’s why we started Playground for Good, because every child deserves access to joyful, active play, whether they’re recovering, learning, growing, or just need to smile.

“I am a Gaming Technology Specialist within the Child Life Department at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. I have a passion for adaptive and accessible gaming. On the first day, I set it up for a young girl with Cerebral Palsy and was excited to see the system “read her” appropriately despite one of her arms being contracted. Her arm was not able to fully extend, but Whack-A-Mole was still able to read both of her hand placements correctly. She had a great time playing! That was when I knew that this is an exciting new resource for inclusive gaming! I could picture all kinds of scenarios that would help in the hospital setting.”

How this program works
Playground for Good is a donation-first program from Nex Playground focused on expanding access to active play. We place systems in organizations where they will be used frequently, by many children, over time.
We prioritize:
Children’s hospitals
Title 1 schools
Public community centers
We do not support:
Private practices
Fundraisers
Paid programs
Sponsorships
We prioritize organizations that:
Serve a high number of children weekly
Will use Nex Playground daily or multiple times per week
Support children facing barriers to movement
Have the ability to set up and maintain the system
