The Starri 2.0 Update Is Now LIVE on Nex Playground
Are you ready to take center stage? The highly anticipated Starri 2.0 update has officially arrived on Nex Playground, bringing a major revamp to your favorite beat-matching game.
Whether you’re catching and slashing for the very first time or returning to finally earn that S+ on your top tracks, we’ve designed this update to make you the star.
Here’s everything you need to know before hitting the stage.
The Upgraded Concert Experience
We’ve completely overhauled Starri’s in-game experience to make you feel like a real pop star. This visual upgrade features a brand-new concert setting and an advanced lighting system, giving you the feeling of being right in the middle of the action.
Players can now experience vibrant lighting effects, creating an atmosphere made for superstars. This immersive new setup also sets the stage for exciting artist collaborations like the upcoming BTS experience.
As part of this pop concert revamp, we’re also introducing a fresh new look for our avatars. Rather than anonymous characters, you’ll now slash or catch as one of these new stars.
Meet your Starri 2.0 crew:
Say hello to Ria, our fierce new female avatar, Ari, our dynamic new male avatar, and Crystalpher, their trusty sidekick and supporting character.
Good news: any cosmetics previously unlocked in Starri will transition to Starri 2.0. If you were rocking the Santa hat or pumpkin head before, you can still equip them on these new characters so you’re slashing in style.
Find Your Groove Faster With Updated Song Selection
It’s now easier than ever to find your favorite songs thanks to an improved song navigation system.
After many requests from our community, we’re excited to introduce a Search function and a Favorites list so your top tracks are always ready to rock.

- High Energy (Songs with 120+ BPM!)

Keep the Music Going, Controller-Free
Keep the beats flowing with the new motion-enabled summary menu. By doing different hand gestures, you can retry the same song or pick another song without ever picking up the remote.
(Don’t worry—you can still use your remote to navigate back to the game menu if you prefer!)
Once you’re playing the game, you’ll also notice everything is running more smoothly. With lessened lag time and crisper graphics, your moves will feel even more accurate and fun than before.
Play Your Way with Enhanced Accessibility
We want every player to have a blast playing Starri 2.0, so we’ve added new settings to help you customize the visual experience.
You now have the ability to personalize your gameplay environment:
- Turn the virtual crowds and stage lights on or off to suit your preferences.
- Play with visuals that feature better contrast, including notes that look more distinct so they better stand out.
- Hide the calorie counter—a brand-new feature directly requested by our users for those who just want to focus on their rhythm!

We add new songs to our Starri music library every single month to keep your moves fresh and fun! Here are our most recent additions:
