Dear Nex families,

Starting April 1st, our recommended retail price for Nex Playground will increase to $299. The price of Play Pass will remain the same.

We know this isn’t welcome news, and this is not a change we take lightly.

Over the past six months, the cost of key components — especially memory (DDR) and storage (eMMC) — has risen significantly across the industry. These increases are driven in part by the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure, which is reshaping global supply and demand for these parts. You may have seen reports about the broader memory shortage.

Like many consumer electronics companies, we’ve worked hard to absorb these cost increases for as long as possible. However, at current levels, it’s no longer something we can sustainably carry on our own.

Our core principle remains unchanged: to make Nex Playground as accessible as possible, while running a responsible and sustainable business for the long term. We understand this increase may make Nex Playground less accessible for some families, and we are truly sorry.

Nex Playground, together with Play Pass, is designed to be a long-term investment for your family — one that delivers meaningful value year-round, long after the initial purchase.

What hasn’t changed — and never will — is our belief in what we’re building, and our commitment to making it better every day: a way for families to move, connect, grow, and have fun.

We stand by that value, and we know we have to live up to it. If we ever fall short, we want to hear from you.

Thank you, as always, for being part of the Nex community.

Best,
David Lee
