We’re excited to share some great news: Nex Playground has been awarded the kidSAFE+ COPPA Certification! This means our product and content have been independently reviewed and certified as child-safe.
What Is the kidSAFE+ COPPA Certification?
The kidSAFE Seal Program is one of only a handful of programs approved by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as a COPPA Safe Harbor—meaning it’s officially recognized as a way for companies to demonstrate compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the U.S. law designed to protect internet users under 13.
The program offers two levels of certification:
- kidSAFE confirms a product meets basic child safety standards.
- kidSAFE+ confirms a product also meets a stricter set of privacy rules modeled directly on the COPPA Rule—things like secure data handling, parental consent processes, and a family’s ability to access and control their child’s information.
